The Student Housing Company has taken Gold in the best tone-of-voice category at the prestigious Transform Awards.
The Transform Awards are European-wide awards recognising excellence in branding. The Student Housing Company beat off tough competition from the Rugby Football Union and Pearson to take home Gold with work the judges made a point of praising in person.
Brian Welsh, Operations Director, said “When we launched The Student Housing Company in 2010 we wanted to create a responsive, customer focused brand that pushed the industry forward. The way we spoke to students was the first thing to get right and symbolic of our wider offer. Everything from our straight forward name to holding pages on our website are designed to be open, fun and plain speaking – moving away from the cliches rife in our marketplace. To pick up this prestigious award is a great recognition of our vision.”
The Student Housing Company owns and operates student accommodation across the UK and Europe. Backed by Oaktree Capital Management it has a target to acquire £1billion in assets. The brand was created by the creative agency The Beautiful Meme.
